Our space is designed for you to move with confidence, knowing you’ll receive hands-on support, personalised attention and movement options that meet you where you are on the day.
Our intention is and always will be on improving quality of life through movement. We look to build overall strength, balance and core endurance in our classes. Fitness level and experience does not matter in this space; we work with all bodies and abilities as they present in front of us.
If you’re working with or returning from an injury, maintaining strength and flexibility or pushing your athletic ability, we have the class for you. We provide modifications and challenges in these low impact workouts where, after each class, you’re a little bit stronger, fitter, more flexible and walking out with a smile.
Reformer Pilates
Reformer Pilates is a low impact, low cardio workout that uses resistance to benefit the whole body. Using a machine with a moveable bed, ropes, pulleys and springs, you’ll find an effective workout that can be tailored to individuals on the day.
Reformer Pilates benefits:
- Supportive equipment meaning increase in an awareness of muscle engagement
- Increasing muscle tone and endurance
- Improving joint and ligament support to move with less pain
- Rehabilitating injuries (old and new) and building supportive body structure to prevent future injuries
- 6 bed studio means exercise can be modified for individual needs
There are two class styles to choose depending on your experience using a Reformer.
Form class is suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced clients. This class gives you time to focus on correct body alignment, with an emphasis on technique and slowing down movements to create mind body connection.
Power classes are suitable for intermediate and advanced clients who are looking to challenge themselves. This is the time to put your muscles under more tension, use heavier springs and take less breaks, while deepening your Pilates practice.
Our timetable includes multiple Child Friendly classes to accommodate busy families, as well as Jumpboard classes to add variety and challenge to your Pilates practice
Mat Pilates
A floor-based workout to test your strength, balance & coordination, Mat Pilates is the perfect lower impact exercise for all bodies. Suitable for all fitness levels (focus on technique and alignment or work up a sweat to feel the burn).
Mat Pilates benefits:
- Increasing muscle strength & tone, particularly core (abdominal) muscles
- Improving stabilisation of the spine & surrounding muscles
- Rehabilitating or preventing injuries related to muscle imbalances
- Improving physical coordination & balance & posture
- Increasing mobility due to the nature of the workout being standing & floor based
Our Mat Pilates class is open to all experience levels. Each session starts at a base layer that is accessible for all and builds in endurance and intensity from there. We offer modifications, advancements and rest breaks as you need, giving you the space to move as your body wants on the day.
